I'm not Italian, but I get a slice of the Italian experience when I go to De Romo's Gourmet Market & Restaurant. (Link: https://deromos.com/)As soon as you walk into the market, the atmosphere changes and you are surrounded by amazing food. De Romo's sells pizza, subs, desserts, pastries, cheeses, precooked meals, meat, and tons of Italian styled groceries. I've never seen anything like it. It's located in the Promenade, and I would totally recommend that you check it out if you are in the Bonita Springs, FL area.
Moises and I love to go to the market and get some desserts and some coffee from the cafe. When you enter the shop, there is a huge dessert and pastry section located on the right. They have delicious cannolis, cheesecakes, brownies, cookies, biscotti, and so much more. De Romo's is probably the best place to get cannolis in SWFL. You can buy a whole cake or a slice of cake. The cakes are of a high quality, and they are actually priced well. They are not expensive compared to local grocery store prices. That actually is true for all the fresh baked desserts and pastries. All of the friends and family that we have taken here have been returned customers. Even my aunts from New England! We do get the large slices of pizza on the occasion, and we got a sub once as well. It was very good and had tons of meat in it. De Romo's has so much more to offer, and we can't wait to try more of it's Italian foods!
De Romo's also has a very nice restaurant. They often have live singers perform for dinner time, and we can hear them at the outdoor mall. Moises and I have not been to the restaurant, but friends of ours have gone, and they love it. We will have dinner there someday, maybe for our first wedding anniversary!
De Romo's is hands down one of our favorite places to go. Sometimes we go there just as a pick me up when one of us has a terrible day.
